Do you provide door-to-door shipping solutions?
Yes, we do. UECC offers comprehensive door-to-door logistics solutions. We can collect your industrial cargo directly from your premises and deliver it safely to its final destination, ensuring a seamless and efficient shipping process.
Do you transport cargo in containers?
No, we do not. Instead of containers, we utilize roll-trailers—specialized platforms designed to safely handle BreakBulk cargo, ensuring optimal load security and efficient port operations.
Which legal regulations govern the transport of breakbulk cargo on RoRo vessels?
All breakbulk transports on UECC RoRo vessels are governed by the Hague-Visby Rules, in accordance with the provisions of our Bill of Lading. These regulations define carrier responsibilities and liabilities throughout the transport process.
Does UECC handle customs clearance for export and import?
UECC does not directly issue customs clearances for exports or imports. However, we work closely with authorized customs brokers and agents who can assist you in completing all necessary documentation and formalities.
What is the additional charge related to the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS)?
The Emissions Trading System (ETS) is part of the EU’s environmental policy aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The additional ETS-related surcharge is calculated to cover the cost of emission allowances associated with our vessel operations.
How do you ensure the safety of breakbulk cargo during transport?
Cargo safety is a top priority. All breakbulk units are secured using specialized lashing equipment and techniques that comply with international maritime safety standards. Our experienced stevedores and port partners ensure that cargo remains fully protected throughout loading, transit, and discharge.
Can I track my shipment during transit?
Our online tracking platform is currently under development and will soon allow customers to monitor their shipments in real time. In the meantime, we ensure transparent and agile communication by providing regular updates on the location and estimated time of arrival (ETA) of your cargo through our operations team.
Does UECC handle static cargo?
Yes, we do. UECC can count on its own fleet of approximately 900 Mafi roll-trailers and we have a dedicated team able to provide quotes based on your specific cargo and cost optimization needs. Our rates include terminal handling costs at nine ports in our trading network
