Celebrating International Day of the Seafarer

Today we mark the International Day of the Seafarer.
At UECC, our vessels are at the heart of everything we do – but it’s the people on board who truly keep our operations moving. Behind every journey, every cargo and every customer promise, there are seafarers working safely and professionally, often far from home.
This year’s theme says it well:
“Carrying world trade. Carrying the risks.”
As an industry, we are accelerating towards more sustainable shipping — reducing emissions, investing in new technologies and driving initiatives like Sail for Change. But none of this progress happens without the dedication, skills and commitment of our crews at sea.
👉 Today, we recognise not only their essential role in global trade, but also their contribution to enabling a greener, more sustainable maritime future.
